Abstract
Data from several studies show that prevalence of hypertension increases with obesity. Prevalence of obesity by BMI is 35.3%, by waist circumference is 49%, by waist hip ratio is 51%. Prevalence of hypertension is 5.9%. The bivariat test results indicate that waist hip ratio related with systolic blood pressure (p<0.01, r=0.388) and diastolic blood pressure (p<0.05, r=0.333). There is no significant correlation between BMI and waist circumference with systolic and diastolic blood pressure. There is a relationship between sex with waist hip ratio, systolic dan diastolic.
