Market demand for fruit and cereals based energy bar is increasing in various countries. On the other hand, high production of banana as raw material in Indonesia makes energy bar prospective to develop in industrial scale. Energy bar is a product that contains high concentration of protein, fats and carbohydrates. It can be used for various purposes such as in: military, aviation, tourism, search and rescue, exploratory research, complementary foods, and emergency food product. Establishment of a banana based energy bar agroindustry requires an in-depth study. Therefore, study on the production system model is needed to know which model is suitable to be implemented in real world. The model is expected to be able to help the stakeholder to get information and make decision about production system in banana based energy bar agroindustry. This research was conducted using system engineering approach. Each component of the system was designed and then developed in the form of webbased computer application model. The designed system components were: (1) process technology, (2) mass and energy balance, (3) industrial location selection, (4) facility layout, and (5) financial feasibility analysis. The UML (universal modeling language) was used to analyze the system. Hypertext preprocessor (PHP) and hypertext markup language (HTML) were used to develop web-based computer application model. The results showed that the model was able to describe the production process, location selection, facility layout planning, and financial feasibility analysis of banana based energy bar industrial planning project. The production system model could help decision maker to make decision related to the production system of banana based energy bar agroindustry. Based on the validity of the model, it was concluded that the model could be implemented in real world and was financially feasible. The model was more sensitive toward decreasing product selling price than increasing raw material price.en
