      Business Analysis of Laying Ducks SME (Case Study in The Area of Cirebon, West Java).

      Abstract
      Duck farming business has been done long ago by rural communities :::I: amid busy planting. The way of raising ducks is very simple by shepherd system. ~ Every morning to evening tend duck breeders in the rice fields to get the grain !:!. scattered as the source of feed. Demand of duck eggs every year has increased, S- both in the fonn of raw duck egg and salted egg. Number of demand of duck 3 eggs sometimes can not be met by farmers, based on this fact, open the duck ~ farming is stili wide open and can be an alternative enterprises to supplement =c family incomes. . ~ The purpose of this study were (1) to know the management of SMEs in [ tenns of duck such as technical and production, business management and ~ marketing.(2) to analyze duck SME financing, which includes the cost of S. production, income, break even point and operating profit, cash flow and return ~ on invesment (rate of return) for egg production. (3) to analyze the internal and S' external environmental conditions contained in the SME duck in the area of ~. Cirebon, WestJava. ~ Analysis of the data used in this study was qualitative and quantitative. g Qualitative analysis is used to detennine the technical aspects and production and Q marketing aspects. Technical and production aspects include business premises, - production equipment and production processes. Aspects of business management and market aspects include marketing and market absorption. Based on identification and evaluation of internal strategies and external factors are quantified in a matrix environment IE, business feasibility analysis of duck that is in the V cells, which keep and maintaian, where necessary strategy is market penetration and product development and market development. Alternative strategies of SWOT analysis on SMEs duck are : maintaining existing markets by increasing the variety of products to deal with other breeders business, implementing a more systematic accounting administration, finding alternatives capital by taking into account the financial condition of the duck g'business, and increasing the rate of egg production to 'meet the market still wide <c open. In order floating duck SMEs in the future, duck breeders must make o internal improyement~, such as increased sales by doing a variety of egg products ; ( salted eggs or hatching eggs).
