Efek anestesi ketamin-acepromazin terhadap motilitas saluran pencernaan kucing melalui studi radiografi kontras
Abstract
The purpose of this research was to study ketamine-acepromazine combination effect on gastrointestinal motility with contrast radiography method. Three adult male domestic cats with body weight 2.5-3.5 kg were used in this study. Radiographs were both taken in anesthetized (10 mg/kg BW ketamine and 0.075 mg/kg BW acepromazine) and unanesthetized within 1 week interval. Radiographs were taken at 5, 30, 60, 120, and 180 minutes after administration of 12 mg/kg BW barium sulphate (30% w/v). Both ventrodorsal and laterolateral views were used in this study. Data were then visually analyzed by locating transit time of contrast agent in 5 zone division, and quantitatively by measuring the contractibility then statistically tested with ANOVA. Results showed lower contractility in anesthetized group compared to unanesthetized group in both ventrodorsal and laterolateral view. Transit time was found slower in anesthetized condition.
