| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this research was to determine the technical-economical character of some pelagic fishing gear on Apar bay. The research was conducted for six month from April to September 2009 on Apar bay, Paser District, East Kalimantan Province. The result shown that purse seine higest fishing effort on 2006 with 82 units fishing gear, the lowest on 2008 with 29 units fishing gear. The higest stationary lift net fishing effort was on 2003 with 80 units fishing gear, while the lowest was on 2006-2008 with 18 units fishing gear. Highest drift long line effort was on 2003 with 251 unit fishing gear, the lowest was on 2007-2008 with 193 units fishing gear. The highest settle long line effort was on 2006 with 88 units fishing gear, the lowest was on 2005 with 44 units fishing gear. The highest troll line effort was on 2003with 241 units fishing gear, while the lowest was on 2006 with 194 units fishing gear. Fish catch composition by purse seine were scad mackarel (47%), short-bodied mackerel (22%), yellow striped trevally (14%), frim gescale sardine (13%) and skipjack (49%). Fish composition catched by settle lift net were anchovy (63%), frim gescale sardine (20%) and yellow striped trevally (17 %). Fish composition catched by drift long line were spotted spanish mackerel (51%) and skipjack (49%). Fish catched by settle long line dominated by spotted spanish mackerel. Fish composition catched by troll line were skipjack (57%) and spotted spanish mackerel (43%). Based on economic value of fish catching, fisherman profit in a year of each fishing gear respectively were purse seine (Rp. 51.576.000,-), stationary lift net (Rp. 23.580.000,-), drift long line (Rp. 14.028.000,-), stationary long line (Rp. 10.418.000,-) and troll line (Rp. 12.220.000,-). | en |
