dc.description.abstractCurcuma zedoaria (Berg.) Roscoe known as white turmeric is a medicinal plant used in treating various diseases, including cancer. The purpose of this study is to obtain an effervescent tablet formulation and determine its physical characteristics that can later be used as a healthy beverage commercial. Tablets were made by wet granulation method on the condition of the maximum relative humidity 25% with a temperature of 25o. Effervescent tablet formulation was done by varying the amount of effervescent mix in three formulations. Preparation of evaluation showed that only one of the three formulation had qualified which was the formula II. Formula I was not eligible due to it has late time (> 2 min) and the formula III was not eligible due to it is friable (>1%). At hedonic statistical test showed that there was a significant difference in the appearance and color of effervescent tablets.en
