dc.description.abstractCellular phone is a device that enables people to communicate regardless of space and time. It is not only utilized by people in big cities, but also by those who live in countrysides. Many farmers, specifically horticultural farmers, own and use cellular phones. The general objective of this research is to observe how far the horticultural farmers make use of cellular phones in their farming activities. This research employs qualitative research method and also qualitative data collection method in order to add and support the obtained information. The findings show that cellular phone is mostly used in social activities such as communicating with friends and relatives. Regarding farming activity, cellular phone is used in getting in touch with brokers and retailers. However, the cellular phone does not contribute anything significant in the farming activity itself.en
