Hubungan Pola Asuh Akademik dan Alokasi Waktu dengan Prestasi Remaja pada Keluarga Bercerai
Abstract
The increasing number of the divorce demanding mother to be a single parent in terms of parenting. The condition of intact family will change both adolescent’s allocation time and academic performance in school. This research aimed to analyze academic parenting practices, adolescent’s time allocation, and academic performance of adolescent. This research was conducted with a cross-sectional study design in the city of Bogor, and involved 50 mothers and children aged 12-18 years from divorced families. A sample selected by non probality sampling, while the technique was a convenience sampling. The methods of data collection was using interview with self report questionnaire. The results show that 58 percent adolescents had enough academic parenting practices. Adolescents spent time 7 hours per day for education, 2.5 hours per day for social, 5.5 hours per day for leisure time, and 64 percent of adolescents had middle academic performance (65-79). The result showed that the better parenting academic practices. Social time and time organization and less time for leisure the better the perception of their achievements. Adolescent perceptions related to achievement was related with their academic achievement based on report card.
