dc.description.abstractDual role that women have can make work-family problem and work-family conflict, so working wife need to do work-family balancing strategy. This study aims to analyze work-family problem and conflict and balancing strategies in dual earner families. The sample in this study are working wives that had children aged 0-9 years old, working on the formal or informal job and allocation of working time up to 8 hours or more than 8 hours taken in stratified non-proportional random sampling of 160 people. Data were collected by interview using a questionnaire. The results show that work-family problem most felt by the sample is problem of childcare. There are significant differences of work-family conflict based on types of job and balancing strategy based on allocation of working time. Work- family conflict and balancing strategy are higher in sample who work in formal job than informal job, and higher in sample with allocation of working time more than 8 hours than sample with allocation of working time up to 8 hours.en
