Two types of paddy can be cultivated by farmers are organic and non- organic paddy. The farmers that plan organic paddy are less than the non-organic paddy. The objectives of this study are: a) to describe the farming of organic and non organic paddy, b) to analyze the factors influence the production of organic and non organic paddy and c) to analyze the production efficiency of organic and non-organic paddy. This study conducted in Bogor. The sampel are organic and non organic farmers. The Cobb Douglas production function was used to analyze data.Based on the results of study showed that the productivity of organic paddy was lower than non-organic paddy. Several factors significantly influence to productivity of organic paddy except labor and season. The production factors of organic farming are still not efficient. Furthermore, the production factors significantly influence to productivity of non-organic paddy except TSP and organic fertilizer and season but also NPK fertilizer and labor are efficient.
