dc.description.abstractSafe and convenient house design from all hazards is indispensable, nonetheless including the earthquake disaster to minimize its impact. The purpose of this research is to design the frame structure 3D symmetrical and not symmetrical and compare his strength with respect to the burden of strong earthquake based on SNI 03-2847-2002 and SNI 03-1726-2003. Research methods to be performed consists of several stages, namely a study library, creation of the frame structure 3D symmetrical and not symmetrical using SAP 2000 program version 14, making the spektrum of earthquake based on seismic hazard map of Indonesia 2010, and testing the structure against strong earthquake loads using SAP 2000 program version 2. Research results is the frame structure 3D symmetrical and not symmetrical 2 floor, wide 8 m, long 10.5 m, the dimensions of a column of 0.5 m x 0.5 m, the dimensions of a beam 0.45 m x 0.3 m, for all loads combination, the value of shear structure, reaction force, and concrete reinforcement of the frame structure 3D not symmetrical is greater than the frame structure 3D symmetrical.en
