dc.description.abstract | Nowadays, many vegetable plants are grown in the greenhouse with hydrophonic system. In such system, supplying plant nutrition made as solution in water, which is called fertigation, is very important. This research aims to monitor and determine the growth rate of tomato plant quantitatively using image processing, and to observe the development of tomato plant in population, which are grown using manual and automatic fertigation systems in combination. In the still image processing for growth rate determination, image of reach individual tomato plant was captured using a digital camera, and analyzed to get height and width, and also canopy are from the top view. In the real time image processing for automatic fertigation system. The results show that still image processing could determine the growth rate of tomato plants quantitatively, and the real time image processing could be used to drive automatic fertigation system based on physical change of a tomato plant used as sample. It was also bound that the tomato plants grow normally when a fourteen days of automatic fertigation was applied, in combination with manual fertigation using a fixed timer. | en |
