Peran Kelompok Tani dalam Ketahanan Pangan Rumahtangga Petani (Desa Banjarsari dan Desa Tanjungsari, Kecamatan Sukaresik, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya, Propinsi Jawa Barat)

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the level of household food security of farmers who have been realized, analyze factors that affect household food security of farmers and formulate farmer groups roles in farmers households to achieve food security. Research approach design by survai, the reasearch respondents were 60 head of household the members of farmer farmer group from Banjarsari and Tanjungsari villages, Sukaresik District, Tasikmalaya District, West Java Province. The research uses quantitative and qualitative statistical method with Rank Spearman Correlation to examine variables. Results from the study showed that farmers' household food availability is adequate but is not stable when the season facing famine, drought or shortly before harvest. Need to increase the role of farmer groups to achieve household food security of farmers.
