dc.description.abstract | Giant gouramy is one of economically important fishes which generally cultured in West and Central Java, along with production (rearing) process mostly held in other areas of Java, Borneo, Sumatra, and Nusa Tenggara. Fry demands were supplied from culture areas by means of transportation. In this research, effectiveness of zeolite and activated carbon to maintain water quality of giant gouramy fry transportation were measured at 20 fish/ℓ, 30 fish/ℓ, 40 fish/ℓ, and 50 fish/ℓ density. This research indicated that the 40 fish/ℓ density gave the best result. It is shown by the survival rate (84,17%), daily growth rate (2,12%) and blood profile of fish approaching normal conditions. Based on these results, it was concluded that 40 fish/ℓ giant gouramy density is the best treatment for a three days transportation. | en |
