Conceptual Design of Knowledge Portal for Developing Ukrida’s Library.

Abstract

The purposes of this research was to analysed both the theory and the practice of the university library website and to design a conceptual knowledge portal to developing Ukrida’s Library. The research method was the qualitative approach with literature study in order to conducted a study on the theory, to observed the university library website from inside and outside Indonesia as well. This research was based on analysed the six library website shows that there are four library website which are Stanford University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Universitas Indonesia have implemented the component of features and technologies of portal more diversely in integrating library resources, services and access through a single point of entry. It has also becoming design a conceptual design knowledge portal for developing Ukrida’s Library.
