Development of Self Finance National Park Through Business Model Approach Based on Utilization of Environment Condition in Gunung Palung National

Abstract

Management of national park is facing problem on budgeting limitation. One of the idea to change conservation areas management orientation from cost center to profit center is building Self Finance National Park. The objectives of this research were aimed to construct business model of Self Finance National Park, to plan system and feasibility business of environment condition, and to formulate management and organization system of Self Finance National Park. The research used business model analysis, and results showed that business model of Self Finance Gunung Palung National Park was categorized as Business to Business (B2B) model which sold products and services by other companies. Business of environment condition in the park would be planed by Public-People- Private Enterprise (P3E) system which appropriate in financial with NPV as high as 10,2 billion IDR and IRR 48,1%. The organization form of Self Finance Gunung Palung National Park was Kesatuan Pengelolaan Kawasan Hutan Konservasi (KPHK) by Public Services Agency (BLU) management.
