Karakteristik Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Delapan Varietas Kacang Tanah (Arachis hypogaea L.).
Abstract
The research was aimed to indentify the growth characteristics that influence filling of the pod and productivity of the groundnut. This research was conducted at Leuwikopo Experimental Field, Departement of Agronomy and Horticulture, IPB, Dramaga, on February to June 2010. The method of this research was based on a completely block randomized design, consisted of one factor and three repetitions. The factor was eight varieties, namely Pelanduk, Sima, Gajah, Turangga, Panther, Anoa, Kelinci, and Kidang. The data was analyzed by using F test. If there was significantly difference then it would be followed by Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The result showed that varieties affect signifficantly to the total of leaves, branch, and peg, weight of leaves, branch, and peg, and lenghth of the plants in several weeks of observations. Each varieties has difference characteristics of gowth and production. Pelanduk had highest growth characteristics. Gajah was the fastest on pod filling. Panther had highest growth parameter and production variables. Anoa was not really good at growth characteristic and pod filling so the productivity was low. Kidang had high dry matters and good at pod fillling. Sima, Kelinci, and Turangga had high total pod, but not so good at pod filling.
