dc.description.abstract | Tiger grouper Epinephelus fuscoguttatus is one of coral reef fish exported commodities that have high value. To filled high market demand need increase of production through increasing of density and using recirculation system in rearing. This research aims to evaluate optimal density that support growth and survival rate better in recirculation system, through four treatment they are 150, 200, 250 and 300 individu/m3. Using fish has length 5,67 ± 3,75 cm and weight 0,4001 ± 0,6489 g that reared in aquarium 60 x 30 x 28 cm is fiiled 36 L of water and got 5, 7, 9 and 11 individu/aquarium for each treatment. Survival rate, growth, feeding efficiency and oxygen comsumption rate were measured in this research. They are no significant different effect of density on survival rate and growth (P.0,05). Survival rate (SR) are 85,71 to 100,00%, specific growth rate (LPH) are 1,78 to 3,57%, absolute length (PM) are 1,06 to 1,69 cm, diversity coefficient of length (KK) are 8,76 to 13,54%, feeding efficiency (EP) are 40,22-95,45 % and oxygen consumption rate are 0,47 to 0.89 mg/g/hr. The recommended density for rearing of tiger grouper is 250 fish/m3 in recirculation system. | en |
