dc.description.abstractSago is ppotential starch which is still not fully exploited in Indonesia. at present, the sago is used for staple food in several parts of Indonesia and foro the production of sago flour. Quality of sago sell in the domestic market is still under standard of SNI. The goal of this research is to design a sago processing plant in order to produce better quality sago. Beside that, research's goal is to study about sago processing. Plant design consist of lay out and material handling that will be use in sago processing using systematic lay out planning (SLP). The sago processing will use sago starch as raw material and will be processed by using natrium bisulfit as food additive. The result of this research is engineering drawing and lay out drawing.en
