Pendugaan Parameter Genetik dan Evaluasi Daya Hasil Enam Genotipe Cabai Half Diallel pada Intensitas Cahaya Rendah

Abstract

The objective of this study was to estimate genetic and phenotypic variabilities, heritabilities, and to gain high yielding pepper genotypes in low light intensity. The study was conducted at Leuwikopo, IPB experimental field, from December 2008 to June 2009. The experiment was arranged in a Randomized Complete Block Design with two replicates. The result showed that almost all characters observed had broad genetic and phenotypic variabilities and high heritability in broad sense. However, the characters observed had low to medium narrow sense heritability. Based on index selection method evaluated, hybrid IPB C-2 x IPB C-15, IPB C-5 x IPB C-9, and IPB C-5 x IPB C-15 had higher rank among other hybrids.
