dc.description.abstract | Discharge of flow under sluice gate at tertiary intake is quite sensitive to fluctuation of upstream water level so that gate opening should be adjusted frequently. This could be easily done using automatic mechanism of sluice gate that controlled by simple fuzzy logic algorithm. In this paper, simulation was done to evaluate this algorithm in controlling constant discharge at tertiary intake. Simulations was done for 3 types of scenario i.e. (1) at free flow under high upstream water level, (2) at free flow under low upstream water level, (3) at transition from free to submerged flow. These simulation resulted Delivery Performance Ratio (DPR) at acceptable range if the simple fuzzy logic algorithm was used. When sluice gate operated at constant opening, mean DPR of each scenario are 0,96, 0,86 and 0,82. Better results were observed when simple fuzzy algorithm was used, mean DPR are 1,00 for each scenario. | en |
