dc.description.abstractThe research was conducted to observe the effect and determine the doses of freshwater rotifers enriched by recombinant growth hormone (rGH) to improve growth of climbing perch Anabas testudineus fry given by oral method. This study consisted of four treatments with three replications. The treatments were (A) rotifers enriched with rGH as many as 10,000 individuals mixed Rotifers without enriched with rGH as many as 10.000 individuals, (B) rotifers enriched with rGH as many as 25,000 individuals mixed rotifers without enriched with rGH as many as 25,000 individuals, (C) rotifers enriched with rHP as many as 40,000 individuals mixed rotifers without enriched with rGH as many as 10,000 individuals, and as control was rotifers without enriched with rGH as many as 10,000 individuals. Climbing perch larva used was five-day-old after hatching and in amount of 250 larvals maintained in 10 L water for each replication. Freshwater rotifers of 225,000 individuals were immersed for 15 minutes in 450 mL of rGH solution at the dose of 12 mg/L, and then it divided equally into each aquarium. Feeding with the rGH-enriched rotifers was performed once to 5 days old larvae after hatching, and then maintained for 25 days. Fish were fed rotifers, Artemia nauplii, and silk worm ad libithum. The results showed that the highest biomass was obtained in treatment C (86.23 ± 1.99 g), followed by the control (85.54 ± 0.88 g), and then the treatment B (84.23 ± 2.55 g) and A (83.58 ± 4.10 g). Standard deviation of the survival rate of treatment C (1.80%) was lower than the other treatments (treatment B: 13.69%; A: 3.86%), and control (2.20%). Those showed variation between replicates in each treatment. Thus, freshwater rotifer can be used as a carrier of rGH in the effort to improve the growth, and the best treatment to climbing perch is rGH-enriched rotifers as many as 40,000 individuals, and unenriched rotifers of 10,000 individuals.en
dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji pengaruh dan menentukan dosis pemberian rotifera air tawar yang diperkaya dengan hormon pertumbuhan rekombinan (rHP) untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan benih ikan betok melalui metode oral. Penelitian ini menggunakan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan, yaitu (A) rotifera diperkaya rHP sebanyak 10.000 individu dicampurkan rotifera tanpa diperkaya rHP sebanyak 40.000 individu, (B) rotifera diperkaya rHP sebanyak 25.000 individu dicampurkan rotifera tanpa diperkaya rHP sebanyak 25.000 individu, (C) rotifera diperkaya rHP sebanyak 40.000 individu dicampurkan rotifera tanpa diperkaya rHP sebanyak 10.000 individu, dan sebagai kontrol adalah rotifera tanpa diperkaya rHP sebanyak 50.000 individu. Larva ikan betok yang digunakan sebanyak 250 ekor di dalam 10 liter air media per ulangan per perlakuan. Sebanyak 225.000 individu rotifera direndam di dalam 450 ml larutan rHP dengan dosis 12 mg/L selama 15 menit. Setelah itu rotifera diberikan pada setiap akuarium sesuai perlakuan yang diberikan. Pemberian rotifera diperkaya rHP dilakukan satu kali pada larva berumur 5 hari setelah menetas, dan kemudian dipelihara selama 25 hari dengan diberi pakan berupa rotifera, naupli Artemia, dan cacing sutra secara ad libithum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa biomassa ikan tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan C (86,23±1,99 g), diikuti perlakuan kontrol (85,54±0,88 g), dan kemudian perlakuan B dan A (84,23±2,55 g dan 83,58±4,10 g). Tingkat kelangsungan hidup kontrol (81,47%) relatif sama dengan perlakuan C (81,07%), dan lebih tinggi daripada perlakuan B (75,60%) dan A (73,60%). Standar deviasi tingkat kelangsungan hidup ikan perlakuan C (1,80%) lebih rendah daripada perlakuan lainnya (perlakuan B: 13,69%; A: 3,86%), dan kontrol (2,20%), hal ini menunjukkan keragaman di antara ulangan setiap perlakuan. Dengan demikian rotifera air tawar dapat digunakan sebagai pembawa rHP dalam upaya peningkatan pertumbuhan benih ikan betok. Perlakuan terbaik diperoleh pada pemberian rotifera diperkaya rHP sebanyak 40.000 individu, dan tanpa diperkaya sebanyak 10.000 individu.
