      Abstract
      A small size and economically affordable bulldozer has been developed based on commonly use hand tractor. The new developed mini buldozer is equipped with wooden track which was desiged to lower the production cost as well as to produce more traction ability. The aim of this research was to evaluate the tractive performance of wooden tracked mini buldozer in three different ground surfaces namely soil, grass and gravel. The results of tractive performance test revealed that the maximum drawbar pull and drawbar power exened by wooden tracked mini huldozer on soil surface were found to be 4.16 kN and 0.66 kW respectively at 40% track slip. The maximum drawbar pull and drawbar power on grass surface were found to be 2.53 kN and 0.52 kW respectively at 33% track slip. while the maximum drawbar pull and drawbar power on gravel surface were found to be 2.79 kN and 0.46 kW respectively at 31% rrack slip. The coefficient of traction on soil, grass, and gravel surface were found to be 0.74.0.45. and 0.49, respectively. It was also revealed that the coefficient of traction of wooden track on soil surface was 22.7% higher than that for n1bber track.
