Pengaruh Kalsium (CaCb) terhadap Kualitas Bunga Potong Anggrek Dendroblum 'Burana Strip'

Abstract

The objective of this research was to study the effect of preharvest application of CaCb on the quality of Dendrobium 'Burana Strip'Cut Flowers. The experiment was conducted at Cikarawang Field Station (Bogor), from Juni to August 2006 and Madnur Orchids Garden (Bogor) from September to Nopember 2006. This research was arranged in Randomized Block Design with single factor of calcium concentration. The treatment used four level of CaCI2 (0 ppm (KO), 40 ppm (Kl), 80 ppm (K2), and 120 ppm (K3). Calcium was applied every four days by spraying on plants. The results of the experiment shows that preharvest application of calcium can increased the content of calcium in flower but could not increase the quality of Dendrobium cut flower.
