dc.description.abstractThe aims of this study were to analyze parenting styles, self-concept, learning and achievement motivation of high school students. The study focused of acceleration, international, and regular class. The study involved 86 eleventh grade students who purposively selected (26 students of acceleration class, 30 students of international class, and 30 students of regular class). The primary data (parenting style, self-concept, and motivation) was collected using structured questionnaires. Student’s achievement data was collected through student’s report cards. Data was analyzed with descriptive and inferential analysis. The result showed that more than half sample perceived authoritarian parenting style. About of 97,7 percent samples have positive self-concept. Accelerated class tend to have extrinsic learning motivation, while the international and regular classes tend to be intrinsic. Accelerated classes have higher the cognitive and psychomotor achievement than international and regular class. The correlation test showed the relationships between authoritarian and authoritative parenting style with self-concept, authoritative parenting style with intrinsic motivation, authoritarian parenting style with cognitive achievement, and self-concept with motivation. The research also showed a negatively relation between intrinsic motivation and academic achievement.en
dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis gaya pengasuhan, konsep diri, motivasi dan prestasi belajar siswa SMA. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada kelas akselerasi, SBI, dan reguler. Penelitian ini melibatkan 86 siswa SMA kelas XI yang dipilih secara purposive (26 siswa akselerasi, 30 siswa SBI dan 30 siswa reguler). Pengambilan data (gaya pengasuhan, konsep diri, dan motivasi belajar) dilakukan dengan teknik pelaporan diri menggunakan bantuan kuesioner. Data prestasi siswa dikumpulkan melalui rapor siswa. Data dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif dan inferensia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lebih dari separuh contoh memiliki persepsi gaya pengasuhan otoriter. Sebanyak 97,7 persen contoh memiliki konsep diri positif. Siswa akselerasi memiliki motivasi belajar yang cenderung bersifat ekstrinsik, sedangkan siswa SBI dan reguler cenderung intrinsik. Contoh pada kelas akselerasi memiliki prestasi kognitif dan psikomotorik yang lebih tinggi dibanding kelas SBI dan reguler. Hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara gaya pengasuhan otoriter dan otoritatif dengan konsep diri, gaya pengasuhan otoritatif dengan motivasi intrinsic, gaya pengasuhan otoriter dengan prestasi (kognitif), dan konsep diri dengan motivasi belajar. Selain itu hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif motivasi intrinsik dengan prestasi belajar (kognitif dan psikomotorik).
