Pengaruh Pemberian Ekstrak Minyak Jintan Hitam (Nigella sativa) terhadap Gambaran Histopatologi Organ Testis Mencit (Mus musculus)

Abstract

This study was aimed to get information about Habbatussauda or blackseed (N. sativa) suplementation effect on mice testicle. Thirty six mices of 4 weeks were divided into four group, each group consists of nine mices. Group I was negative control (received 0.1 ml aquadest), group II (received 0.1 ml Habbatussauda oil), group III (received 0.2 ml Habbatussauda oil), and group IV (received 0.3 ml combination of Habbatussauda oil and honey). This treatment were done for two month, the mice were euthanized and then necropsied followed by testis collection as organ sample. Sample was processed to prepare histopathology slides with Hematoxilin-Eosin stain. The parameters observed include to count on and differenciate of the spermatogenic cells, Sertoli cell, and Leydig cell using software Image J® for Microsoft® Windows®. Qualitative data’s were analyzed with software SPSS® 16.0 for Microsoft® Windows® ANOVA test and followed by Duncan test. The result showed that Habbatussauda caused increasing of spermatogenic cells, Sertoli cell, and Leydig cell on group II, III, and IV which were significant (p<0.05) with the control group.
