dc.description.abstractThis cross-sectional study was aimed to identify the association of breast-feeding and supplementary feeding with stunting existences in infants aged 6-12 months in Bogor District. Lenghts of infants were measured at baseline and the sample was divided into 2 groups: stunting and non-stunting infants. Characteristics of family, characteristics of infants, breast-feeding and supplementary feeding practices were assessed. The result of study showed that stunting was prevalent among infant 6-12 months and was associated with low dietary intake. Porridges was the predominant food source of stunting group with limited contribution of animal food. Deficits in dietary energi, protein, calcium, iron, zinc, vitamin A and vitamin C were found especially in stunting group when compared to estimated infant needs. Low dietary intake was potential factor stunting.en
