Abstract

Cyclo rubber is a kind of synthetic resin resulted by chemicaly modification of natural rubber. It is produced in Indonesia with trademark of Resiprene 35. It own adhesive power and hardness so that it can be used as agglutinant. Even the nature of cyclo rubber is very differ from natural rubber, it still own some excellence nature of rubber, so that it can be mixed with natural rubber in processing compound and can be vulcanized Factorial experiment of 3x6 in randomized group design experiment was used in studying of gluing characteristics of cyclo rubber. The first factor wass type of compound which consist of 3 level of treatments (without vulcanization, conventional, and x m i efficient) and the second factor was rubber dose variation which consist of 6 level of treatments, with condensed latex composition variation compared with rubber condensation of cyclo were 100:0, 100:10, 100:20, 100:30, 100:40, and 100:50. Research step cover levying of condensed latex and also substances making of compound till and making of glue characterization. The quality of condensed latex was checked on crumb rubber rate, rate of alkalinity, rate of solid contain, the number of Eteric Fatty Acid ( ALE), number of KOH, mechanic stability time and viscosity related with ASTM D.I076-I997. The cyclo rubber which have through examination of viscosity, pH. and rate of solid contain was hereinafter enhanced into compound with condensed latex composition in variation above. This research perceive influence of rubber dose of cyclo system and vulcanize to nature of glue physical covering viscosity, pH, rate of solid contain and glue specific weight. The result of this research indicate that adhesives by using rubber component of cyclo have milk white colour with flat aroma and did not form sediment Rate of solid contain was range from 52.46-52.55 %, pH range from 9.75-i 1.12, viscosity among 586-2807 cp, with glue specific weight range from 0.980-0.9$ 1 gcm-3
