Pemberdayaan Keluarga Miskin Melalui Kelembagaan Kelompok Usaha Bersama Ekonomi, Studi KUBE Suka Makmur Di Kelurahan Maha Ratu Kecamatan Marpoyan Damai Kota Pekanbaru Provinsi Riau

Abstract

Poverty in Riau province is still quite high. It can be seen by the high number of poor people in 2008. Some poverty alleviation programs such as Village Economic Enterprises (EUD-SP) and Economic Groups (KUBE) development are conducted by the government. This Study will describe; (1) KUBE Suka Makmur profile in general, (2) the KUBE organizational management, (3) the KUBE activities which can alleviate the poverty, (4) problems that are faced by the KUBE, (5) the formulation strategies of KUBE development. The finding of this study are; (1) the KUBE runs well and become part of the farmer association, (2) the rules of the economic groups (KUBE) have been built, (3) KUBE can runs the business well by using the financial capital that it already has, (4) standard of living of the people has increased, (5) coordination amongs units of the government bureaucracy still need to be developed. The final result expected from this study is the acquisition of the new strategies of empowerment program for poor families by strengthening the institutional KUBE. To strengthen the institutional KUBE, it is needed to encourage the cooperation among other institutions at a greater level of suistainable productive community groups.
