Humpback grouper (Cromileptes altivelis) culture potentially against the problem of pests and diseases.Vibrio bacteria which causes vibriosis is the main problem for humpback grouper culture industry which cause the death of fish. The use of iron as a mineral that works in the blood cells could be expected to affect viability of humpback grouper against the disease. The fish was cultured in 60x40x50 cm aquarium reared for 40 days, and stoked at a density of 10 ind./aquarium, it weight was 9.44±0.36 gram/ind. The experiment diet contained different iron supplementation level which are 0 ppm, 100 ppm and 500 ppm. The feed was given 3 times daily at a satiation. After 40 days culture feeding, the fish was exposed in fresh water for 10 minutes and injected by 108 CFU/ml Vibrio alginolyticus. The feeding of iron supplementation (Fe) 0 ppm, 100 ppm, and 500 ppm did not significantly affect specific grow rate and survival rate of humpback grouper before the bacterial infection. After the bacterial infection, the fish fed by diet containing 100 ppm Fe had better viability.en
