The upstream of Clkapundung sub watershed is located in the highland area. Inappropriate land usage with its land suitability causes land degradation. The min objective of this research was to design the vegetable conservation fanning system model based on local specific resources in upstream of Cikapundung sub watershed The detail objectives were: (1) to study the suitability level of the saat ini vegetable land, (2) to study characteristic of the saat ini vegetable farming system, (3) to study the most influence component in the subsystem vegetable conservation farming, and (4) to design the alternative vegetable conservation fanning system models based on local specific resources. This research was conducted using system approach and survey method. The result showed that most of the saat ini vegetable land in the upstream of Cikapundung Sub Watershed belongs to Marginally Suitable (S3) (57,87%). The limiting factors are pH, Base Saturation, CEC, drainage, and slope. The most influence component of the farming subsystem are kinds of crops, cropping system, and ameliorant. The most influence component of the conservation subsystem are conservation technics and plastic mulch There are five alternative models (A, B, C, D, and E) of vegetable conservation farming which can be used in upstream of Clkapundung sub watershed Out of the five alternative models, two models were chosen. Those are: (1) Model C: conservation farming system bench terraces, the embankment crosses the slope, use of organic matter and lime, mulch, and planting of vegetables cropping system with categories I+III or categories II+III for land with slope of 15-25% and (2) Model E: conservation farming system gulud terraces, the embankment crosses the slope, use of organic matter and lime, mulch, and planting of vegetables cropping system with categories I+III or categories II+III for land with slope of 8-15%. The conservation farming system model designed technically can control soil erosion and financially profitable. To accelerate the implementation of conservation farming system model, KUK institution and crops livestock are needed.en
