Corn stover is the most abundant agricultural waste in Indonesia, and therefore has potential as an fermentation substrate. The most efficient means to produce fermentable sugars from corn stover is by enzymic hydrolysis, which is facilitated by pretreatment of the corn stover. In this research, pretreatment was conducted by combination of either Ca(OH)2 or White-rot fungus (Tremetes versicolor Pleurotus ostretus, and Panerochaeta crysosporium) and hydrotermolysis I and 11. White-rot fungus was as biodelignificator, hydrotermolysis I (120 OC at 2 hours) maximizes the solubilization of the hemicellulose franction, and hydrotermolysis I1 (180-200 OC at 20 min) has been optimized for enzyme digestiiility. The results indicated that the surface of cell wall of corn stover has been perforated by the pretreatment processes. The bioethanol yield from the SSCF of the treated corn stover using Saccharomyces cerevisiae reached 3,06 g/L.en
