Pendugaan Jarak Genetik pada Itik Cihateup, Cirebon dan Mojosari

Abstract

A study on morphological body conformation ofcilEteup, Cirebon and Mojosari ducks was caried out to determine the genetic distanc€ atrd discriminant variables. The res€alch \I?s done at PT Dwi Mitra Daq, Gunung Sindu4 Bogo!, using 30 Cihateup, 30 Cirebon ard 30 Mojosari ducks, from september to November 2004. Length ofnecb wing, circumfet€nce ofchest, deep ches! body w€ight, circumfercnce ofta$ometatarsus, lengft ofches! tlird digit ta$ometata$us, tibia, femur and maxilla were measued to observe their body sizes to determine the genetic distance and discriminaqtr"dables. Dataobtained werc analyzed by usingCLM (C€nenl Linesr Model) and simple discriminant analysis with SAS package program version 6.12 6nd program MEGA2 to make the constructron oftree fenograms. Cihateup ducks had larger body size (i.e. length ofneck, wing, circumference ofchest deep chest, length ofthid digit and femur) than Cirebon and Moj osari duck, but \lere smaller on length ofla$omeiatarsus lhan Mojosari duck Results ftom canonical analysis showed that t]rc most discriminant variables were obtained ftom the length ofthird digit tarsometatarsus, tibia and femur. Cihateup ducks \r€Ie mixed wilh Cirebon ducks (36,67%), Cirebon ducks were mixed with Cihaleup ducks (43,33olo) and Mojosari ducks (3,3 3%), Mojosa.ri ducks werc mixed with Cihaieup ducks (3,337o) and Cinbon ducks (l 3,33%) Mahalanobis genetic distance showed that Cihateup and Circbon ducks had a genetic distance of 0,880, Cihat€up and Mojosari, and, Cirebon and Mojosari had 1,786.
