Penangkaran Serangga Parasitoid (Hymenoptera : Pteromalidae) dari Lalat Pangganggu dalam Peternakan Ayam

Abstract

Study on mass rearing of arthropod parasitoids was conducted on July 1993 to May 1994 at Laboratory of Entomology FKH-IPB, Bogor Tbe parasitdds reared were Spalangia e d u s Wahr (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae) and Pachjcrepoideus vindemiae (Rondad) (Hymenoptera: PtrromaUdae) of poultry farm and S. nignmcnea of cattle farm. The period of acclimatization lasted for two months. Pamitoids were reared in plastic jar and given one day old house fly pupae at a ratio of 1:s. The ambient temperature was 26-31°c and humidity with 7984% (rh). Honey solution was given to adult pamitoids as additional food. Reproduction is excellent and mortality of adult parasitoid was considend low, In mass rearing with one day old house fly pupaqit was found that the ratio of 1:3 is the most ecmmkal and practical when compared with ratios of 1:s or 1:7. Mass rearing using one day old refrigerated pupae showed similar result as using f k b one day old pupae.
