      Abstract
Thirty-seven wild greater mouse deer (T. napu) were used to study productivity and pducts. The research were: 1) survey; 2) a preference test an feed, and 3) Product The feed offered were kangkong (Ipmoea aquatia), cabbage (Brmsica olmucea& aafirata), cassava leaves, cassava skin and cassava m i h o t esculenta mauz), banana kepok skin FWbanIa na di skin (Miisa pradiss~am)a nd sweet potato ( I p m t a batatus). Five young adult animals (greater mouse deer, one f d e and four males) weighlng 3017 i 707 g, they were kiHed by exasunguination The greater mouse deer body very spesific, the color are orangey-brown and ashes-white, nocturnal animal and solitary nature, matting occurs throughout the year, were observed comurned higher mount of h i t s than vegetable. A preference test on feed, when fresh weight of the feed was considered, the male and female greater mouse deer consumed cassava the most (93.40 f 2 1.91 gld and 103.67 f 23.98 g/d for female snd female, respectively), followed by banana uli skin In the term of dry matter intake (DMI) of the feeds, the amount of cassava consumed was the highest for both male and female greater mouse deer, followed by sweet potato. The total DM1 was 108.96 f 18.42 dd, average daily gain did not differ between sex The male mouse deer gained 4.62 + 1.% gld while the female gained 5.34 f 2.67 gld. Dressing percentage was 59.3 1% and proportion of carcass meat reached 73.46 %. The fat percentage and cholesterol concentrations of longissirnus dorsi muscle very low (1.43% d 13.17 mg1100g respectlvdy), while the lipid fractions showed that the total lipid were composed high levels of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA). The lipid composition of greater mouse deer tissue may serve as a model for dietary lipid recommendations in trdng and preventing chronic desease.
