The objective of the research was to determine anther culture ability of 7 rice accessionsin an improvedm edia supplementedw ith spermine. The sevena ccessionsw ere Hawara Bunar, Grogol, Sigundil. Krowal. CT-650-24-J-3. Lembayaud. an Mendali. Media N6 was usedf or callus induction and MS was usedf or regeneration. Both mediaw as supplementedw ith sperminea t J0 -4M . Result of the experiments howedt hat Grogol. Sigundil. and Lembayaug ave green plantlet. Sigundil and Mendali possessedh ighest anther culture ability and therefore best suitedf or parent in rice breeding involving anther culture technique.
