Field trials have been carried out to produce high quality seed of soybean through the manipulation of population levels and phosphorus fertilizer doses. Soybean cv. Lokon, cv. Kerinci and cv. Americana were used. Seed viability of cv. Americana was the lowest if compared to those of cv. Lokon and cv Kerinci. The highest viability of seed oj'cv.
