dc.description.abstract | This research is a case-study carried out in the villages of Central Java, using quantitative and qualitative data. The analysis was based on the individuals and family which were classified into four types based on the work place of women (IN, OUT), and the age of them (young. Old). The work place was related to the women's job, while the age was related to thdr fatility (< 30 years, 230 years). The four types mentioned are IN-young (type 1). IN-old (type 2). OUT-young (type 3), and OUTold (type 4). The result shows that women's job influences inconsistent fertility. The women working outside have lower fertility than the women working inside. This is influenced by their role compatibility as income workers as well as domestic ones. The other factors which are also very influencial are education levels, the age of women's first marriage, family planning programs, the economic value of children, and the norm of family size. | id |
