Abstract

Body measurement were not significantly affected by sex in kacang x Etawah cross goats. Hearth girth (HG) was more closely related to the body weight (bw), as the animals grow. The growth coefficient relative to body weight for height, body length, width of chest, depth of chest and heart irth were 0.2664, 0.2782, 0.2812, 0.2921, and 0.3286.respectively. Heart girth was the most accurate to estimate body weight. The formula was HW - -6.25 + 0.104 HG + 0.0046 HG2 and the enterpretation (r2)was 0.9616.
