dc.description.abstractAndaliman (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC.), a wild plant of North Sumatera, Indonesia, is belong to Rutaceae. Batak people use its fruit as spices in their traditional cuisine. However, andaliman sometimes was identified as Piper ribesioides Wall. of Piperaceae. Description and seed germination studies of andaliman are provided to clarify the taxonomic status and fill the gap on the lack of botanical studies.id
