The experiment was conducted in the Seed Science and Technology Laboratory, Bogor Agricultural University, fran October 1982 to January 1983. Seed of the Upper Amazone Hybrid (UAH) of cacao were collected fran PTP X I 1 Rajamandala Estate. Seed were stored at roan temperature of + 28OC and a t a i r conditioned temperature of + 22OC, in three l-vels of sawdust moisture (30, 35 and 40 %) For 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 weeks. Stared of seeds in sawlust of 35 and 40 % moisture contents showed high percentage of seedling germination as well as vigor indications (root, length, number of leaves, seedling height and seedling dry weight) .
