Streetfoods : An Asian Perspective with Special Reference to Indonesia
Abstract
The Regional Workshop on Streetfoods in A s i a , which was conducted in Yogyakarta, Indonesia (Anonymous, 1986) agreed to define streetfoods are as follows. lgStreetfoods are ready to eat foods and beverages prepared and/cr sold by food vendors or hawkers, especially in street and other similar public places". It should be noted that streetfoods in t h i s discussion not include the prepackaged foods, and the streetfoods is not synonym for fastfoods nor "junk foods" .
