The objective of this study waa to obtain fermentation process for producing l-lysine using two mutans of Corvnebacterium m. The process used a low cost nutuml raw materiul molasses as a carbon Bource which underwent a special treatment before its application for fermentation medium. Stmin ATCC 21543produced higher Llysine as compared to 7 AATCC 21513. ATCC strain 21543 produced uaing a 10.98 g/l L-lysine modified basal B medium containilyl molasses which was equivalent to 20 % of original molaases in krme of its sugw content.
