Supramana,. S., S. A. Lewis, J. D. Mueller, B. A. Fortnllm, and R. E. Ballard. 2001. Evaluation of Hoplolaimus columbus Sher reproduction on selected soybean cultivars using greenhollse and excised root cultura[ techniques. Nematropica 31:267-271. Host suitlbility of six soybean cultivars to Hplolaimus rolulIlbuswas evaluated in monoxenic culture and greenhouse experiments. Differences in nematode population development were detected among cultivars. 'Bryan,' was less suitable as a host than 'Braxton,' and 'Centennial.' Suitability of these cultiv21rs for reproduction of H. columbus did not relate to their maturity groups or tolerance rating, a result consistent with previous findings. Key words: Columbia lance nematode, GZvcine max, Hoplolaimus columbus, repmductive factor, resistance, soybe.m, tolerance.
