As many as 2813 isolates of spore formem were obtained and when they were examined under the phase contmst micmmpe, 32 of them showed the formation of crystal proteins. isolates which were toxic to C. binotalis includes SPC-A 1 1.10h.01, SPGA 12.01.03, SPGA 12.03.0 1, and SPG-A 12.16.01; their toxicity was comparable to that of Thuricide. None of the isolates terted showed 100% mortality to S. lilum. However, SPG-A 1 1.10b.01 8nd SPGA 12.16.0 1 were more toxic than that of Thuricide.
