The experiment were carried out to evaluate the effect of minimum tillage where herbicide practices combined together with the use of soil conditioners. Experiment were done in IPB Exp. Sta. of Latosol Latosol Darmaga from July to December 1988. Conservation tillage without herbicide (HO) were compared with Application of glyphosate (H I), glufosinate (H2) and H3 (paraquat+diuron) and application of Agri-SC soil conditioner of 300 and 600 ml/ha compared to control treatment. These combined factors were analyzed in factorial within Randomized Block Design. Minimum tillage with applied herbicide resulted in higher secondary branches, leaf area indexes, total plant dry weighs and leaf dry wieght in compared to conventional tillage. The heigh est dry weight yield obtained by application of glufosinate, followed by glyphosate and paraquat+.:fiuron combinations. Soil conditioner reduced soil strengh up to 13.8 and 17.7% for 300 and 600 ml/ha Agri-SC treatments. This in turn increased number of secondary branches, leaf area indexes, total plant dry weight, patchouly oil, and leaf dried yield. Yield increament of 8.38 and 15.0296, were recorded due to 300 and 600 ml/ha Agri-SC treatment. No interaction between treatment were observed.id
