dc.description.abstract | These experiments were carried out in vinyl house at Tsushima Experimental Station, Okayama University, Japan from April 4, 1981 until July 9, 1981. The NaCI solution as treatments in the experiment I and II varied 0, 100; 1 000; 3 000; 5 000; 7 000 and 10 000 mg per liter water. Eggplant of cultivar (cv) Senryo was used in the experiment I and cultivar Akanasu in experiment II. The results suggested that eggplant cultivar differ in their tolerance to NaCI salts. Low concentration of NaCI solution accelerated vegetative and reproductive development of Senryo cultivar, Akanasu cultivar was very sensitive to NaCI salts; all treatments decreased its vegetative development. | id |
