| dc.description.abstract | Stroberi (Fagaria ananasa) termasuk dalam famili Rosaceae dengan genus Fragaria. Produksi buah stroberi di Indonesia setiap tahunnya cenderung berfluktuasi. Terdapat berbagai jenis hama yang dapat menyerang tanaman stroberi salah satunya yaitu Tetranychus sp. Penelitian ini mengkaji identifikasi molekuler dan biologi tungau laba-laba merah (Acari: Tetranychidae) pada tanaman stroberi di Cipanas, Cianjur. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi tungau laba-laba merah menggunakan pendekatan molekuler serta mengetahui biologinya. Identifikasi molekuler dilakukan menggunakan teknik Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). Biologi tungau merah diamati dengan memelihara telur secara individual di dalam cawan petri. Pengamatan dilakukan setiap 6 jam hingga muncul individu dewasa. Pengamatan pada fase imago dilakukan setiap hari. Berdasarkan analisis BLAST (Basic Local Alignment Search Tool), tungau laba-laba merah menunjukkan tingkat kemiripan tertinggi dengan Tetranychus kanzawai dari Jepang dan Taiwan. Hasil ini didukung oleh analisis homologi dan konstruksi pohon filogenetik, yang menunjukkan bahwa sampel dari Cipanas, Cianjur memiliki kekerabatan yang sangat dekat dengan T. kanzawai. Perkembangan telur membutuhkan waktu 3,68 ± 0,77 hari, sedangkan tahap nimfa membutuhkan waktu 1,24 hari. Umur hidup imago betina adalah 21,64 ± 0,99 hari, sementara imago jantan lebih pendek, yaitu 18,9 ± 5,62 hari. Imago betina mampu menghasilkan hingga 100 butir telur. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Strawberry (Fragaria ananasa) belongs to the family Rosaceae and the genus Fragaria. Strawberry fruit production in Indonesia tends to fluctuate from year to year. Various pests can attack strawberry plants, one of which is Tetranychus sp.. This study examines molecular identification and biology of the red spider mite (Acari: Tetranychidae) of strawberry plants in Cipanas, Cianjur. The aim of this research is to identify the red spider mite using a molecular approach and to understand their life cycle. Molecular identification was then carried out using the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technique The development of the red mite was observed by rearing the eggs individually in the petri dish. Observation conducted every 6 hour until adult emergence. Observation of adult stage conducted every day. Based on BLAST (Basic Local Alignment Search Tool) analysis indicated that the red spider mite had the highest similarity with Tetranychus kanzawai from Japan and Taiwan. This result was further supported by homology analysis and phylogenetic tree construction, which showed that the samples from Cipanas, Cianjur were very closely related to T. kanzawai. The development of eggs needs 3,68±0,77 days, and the nymphal stage needs 1,24 days. The lifespan of adult females was 21.64 ± 0.99 days, while males was shorter, at 18.9 ± 5.62 days. Female adults were able to lay up to 100 eggs. | |
