Analisis Non Genetik Bobot Lahir Dan Bobot Sapih Domba Garut Di Uptd Bpptdk Margawati

Abstract

Domba Garut memiliki keunggulan yaitu produktivitas tinggi, daya adaptasi yang baik, daya tahan terhadap parasit dan tingkat prolifikasi yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pengaruh faktor non genetik terhadap bobot lahir dan bobot sapih pada domba Garut di UPTD BPPTDK Margawati. Data bobot lahir dan bobot sapih masing-masing sebanyak 2761 dan 2132 ekor diambil dari UPTD BPPTDK Margawati periode 2021-2024. Faktor non genetik yang diamati meliptui jenis kelamin, tipe kelahiran, musim, dan tahun kelahiran. Data bobot lahir dan bobot sapih dianalisis menggunakan metode generalized linear model (GLM) untuk mengetahui pengaruh faktor non genetik. Faktor jenis kelamin tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot lahir dan bobot sapih domba. Faktor tipe kelahiran berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot lahir dan bobot sapih domba. Faktor musim dan tahun kelahiran tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot lahir domba, namun berpengaruh terhadap bobot sapih domba. Analisis pengaruh faktor non genetik terhadap sifat produksi menjadi salah satu upaya untuk memperbaiki laju pertumbuhan domba Garut.

Garut sheep has superiority of high productivity, good adaptability, resistance to parasites and high prolificacy. The study aims to evaluate the effect of non-genetic factors on birth and weaning weight of Garut sheep in UPTD BPPTDK Margawati. The birth weight and weaning weight data, consisting of 2,761 and 2,132 animals respectively, were collected from UPTD BPPTDK Margawati during the 2021–2024 period. The non-genetic factors observed included sex, birth type, season, and year of birth. Birth and weaning weight data are analyzed using descriptive statistics and Generalized Linear Models (GLM) to observe non-genetic factors effect. Non genetic factors in this study include sex, birth type, season, and birth year. Sex factor did not significantly affect the birth weight and weaning weight of sheep. The birth type factor significantly affected the birth weight and weaning weight of sheep. Season and birth year factors did not significantly affect the birth weight of sheep, but did affect the weaning weight of sheep. The analysis of non-genetic factors affecting production traits represents an important approach to improve the growth performance of Garut sheep.
