      Abstract
Lahan hutan sekunder (TPH) memiliki nilai kuat geser tanah utuh tertinggi sebesar 0,78 kg/cm², diikuti oleh hortikultura konservasi (TPK) sebesar 0,26 kg/cm², sedangkan hortikultura intensif (TPI) menunjukkan nilai terendah sebesar 0,11 kg/cm².

Agricultural land management plays a critical role in modifying soil shear strength, a key parameter governing soil resistance to applied loads and driving forces in sloping agricultural landscapes. This study evaluates the effects of different land management practices on soil shear strength and their implications for landslide susceptibility in Desa Ciputri. Field research was conducted from March to July 2025 using a descriptive exploratory design across three land management types: secondary forest (TPH), intensive horticulture (TPI), and conservation-based horticulture (TPK). Soil shear strength was measured at a depth of 0–30 cm using a Geonor H-60 vane shearmeter. The results demonstrate that land management type exerts a significant influence on soil shear strength and soil sensitivity. Secondary forest showed the highest undisturbed soil shear strength (0.78 kg cm?²), followed by conservation-based horticulture (0.26 kg cm?²), whereas intensive horticulture recorded the lowest value (0.11 kg cm?²). Soil shear strength showed strong positive correlations with soil moisture content (r = 0.833), soil organic carbon (r = 0.755), and aggregate stability (r = 0.683). These findings indicate that secondary forest management enhances soil mechanical stability and reduces landslide susceptibility relative to intensive horticultural systems. Overall, the study underscores the importance of sustainable land management practices in improving soil strength and mitigating landslide risk in mountainous agricultural environments.
